Let's get blogging!

Ok. So I couldn't stand it anymore....we have a blog! I've put it off for a long time, but as I read and "smile" through other blogs, I am compelled to join the masses.

Let me begin by explaining our blog title "What are the odds? Life with the Weatherford's!"

The Weatherford journey began 23 years ago on September 7, 1985, when Mike and I stood before God, family and friends and vowed to spend the rest of our life together - for better, for worse, for richer - for poorer, in sickness and health, forsaking all others - til death do us part.

Early on in our journey, we adopted the WATO (What are the odds?) motto! Our lives have been filled with funny, crazy, absolutely unbelievable WATO moments. It never ceases to amaze us! Thus, our blog will not only share moments from our family life, but will give you a glimpse into WATO! Some have made us laugh, some made us cry and others have left us completely in awe of God's power, presence and grace in our lives.

It may seem a little strange, but somehow our WATO moments have been the markers in our lives that seem to ground us, entertain us and keep us together. We simply couldn't make it without each other!

Hope you will enjoy the journey. Perhaps you've had your own WATO moments and you just never knew what to call them! In all things, we have learned that God is sovereign - even over our WATO moments - and we give Him praise for the exciting adventure He has allowed us share.

If you're going to share this ride with us, we suggest you "buckle up"! The road can get bumpy at times, but you will have the time of your life!
